MEF Band Camp, June 9-13, 2025 will be held in Marcos de Niza High School, 6000 S. Lakeshore Dr., Tempe. The free culmination camp concert will be held in Marcos de Niza’s recently remodeled, spacious auditorium from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, June 13.

Monday-Thursday, June 9-12, camp will be held in Marcos de Niza High School from 8:30am-3:30pm. On Friday, June 13, camp hours at Marcos de Niza High School will be 9:30am-6:00pm. (Campers may arrive at 8:30am if necessary).

High school campers selected by recorded ensemble placement audition for Honor Chamber Ensembles will have an extended camp day until 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Middle school campers selected by recorded ensemble placement audition will arrive at 8:00am for Middle School Chamber Ensemble rehearsals Tuesday-Thursday, 8:05-8:30am.

To apply for MEF Band Camp 2025, complete and submit the online application form below. If the applicant is new to MEF Band Camp, they must also arrange to have the brief Instructor Recommendation Form submitted on their behalf by the camper’s current band director or private music instructor. Returning campers do not need to provide the Instructor Recommendation Form. Applicants will be contacted by MEF staff to confirm acceptance, generally within 2 weeks of applying.

Online ensemble placement audition music/instructions will be emailed to registered campers by April 28. Camper permission/liability forms will be available through Jotform in spring 2025. Links will be sent to the parent email(s) provided on the application.

Returning Camper Early Tuition - $330 (if $50 deposit is paid by January 15 and remaining $280 is paid by March 1)

Early Camper Tuition - $350 (for returning or new campers if paid by March 15)

Full Camp Tuition - $370 (if paid by May 1)

Late Tuition - $390 (space permitting, if paid after May 1)

There are NO REFUNDS available for MEF Band Camp deposits or tuition paid.

If you currently use a school instrument, please check with your band director to ensure your use of your school instrument over the summer. Most directors are very happy to allow you to continue using a school instrument but you do need to ask them well in advance. You can rent most instruments for one month for $25.00 from a local music store. Percussion students will likely need snare sticks, bell/xylophone mallets, and marimba mallets for camp. Please ask your band director to allow you to borrow these items for camp, if you don't own these items. While we cannot guarantee that every item will be used by every percussionist, having these items available will be extremely helpful.
