MEF is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing community life and enriching individual musicians through music education, chamber music, festivals and financial assistance.

Supporting MEF provides excellence in music education and promotes positive community engagement.
Our primary services to the community are our annual MEF Band Camp which is partially funded by a City of Tempe - Community Arts Grant www.tempe.gov/ArtsGrants and “Singing with Friends”, a long-term care facility vocal community singing class and concert series. This project is supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, which receives support from the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.
MEF has a small instrument loan program. Instrument donations for this program are always appreciated.
MEF supports professional performing musicians through an annual Chamber Music Recital and by hiring musicians for Singing with Friends’ concert series and MEF fundraising events.
